"Mr. Johnson, you have cancer."
Are those the words you expect to hear from your doctor? No, I didn't think so, and I didn't either. Until January 2005, cancer was only something other people got. I really couldn't tell you much about it if you had asked me. I just knew that my cousin in Memphis, TN, whom is 65 has been battling lung cancer for about 4 years now. But did I have any idea what she might be going through or what her diagnosis really meant? No, I didn't.
Now that I am living with cancer, I am interested in knowing what is going on inside me. Wouldn't you be if it were you? Or maybe your mother or father or a sibling? Makes it a little more interesting to learn about when it is so close to you.
I have been asked by a lot of my family and friends what kind of cancer I have and what treatments I am going through to fight it? Well, there is a long explanation and there is a short explanation. Which one are you interested in?
Instead of explaining my constant progress over and over to each person, I thought I would supply a place that my friends and family could follow my progress (see my Blog Page) and even leave messages for me. Please leave a message. Just click on the SIGN MY GUESTBOOK button below. I love reading them but don't always feel like sitting and typing out a response. If I don't answer for a while or not at all, don't take offense. Please know that I appreciate your message.
Thank you.
